HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE WORSHIPING THE TRUE JESUS CHRIST?

(1John 5:20) “And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.  This is the true God and Eternal life.”

Jesus Christ Himself warned His people that in the last days false christs and false prophets will come in His Name and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect (Matt. 24:24).

The following are the seven (7) characteristic fullness of the true Jesus Christ based on the Bible:

  1. He is the Almighty –  (Pantokrator in Greek; El Shaddai in Hebrew).  He is the all-sufficient, all sustaining, and all satisfying God who revealed Himself as Almighty God to Abraham in the Old Testament (Gen. 17:1); and who revealed Himself as Almighty God to the Apostle John in the New Testament (Rev. 1:8).  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb. 13:8, Heb. 1:11-12).
  2.  Lord – the Triun (Trinity) God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have a common name or family name, Lord (Yahweh in Hebrew and Kurios in Greek).  God the Father is Lord (Matt11:25); God the Son is Lord (Acts 10:36); and God the Holy Spirit is Lord (2Cor. 3:17).  Among the three Persons of the Trinity, it is the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who is the personally and directly manifesting God (John 1:14; John 14:21; Rev. 1:7-8).
  3.  God – He is truly God (Titus 2:13; 1John 5:20; Rom. 9:5; Rev. 21:7) and His going forth is from everlasting (Micah 5:2).  He is creator of all things (John 1:3; Col. 1:16; Heb. 1:10) and in Him all things consist (Col. 1:17-18).
  4.  The Son – He is of the same essence as the Father (Phil. 2:6); the only begotten of the Father (John 3:16) and equal in capability with the Father (John 5:21).
  5. Incarnate – He came in the flesh (John 1:14; Matt. 1:23; Heb. 10:5) when He became flesh His godhood remained (fully God and fully man), but He did not assert His deity (Phil. 2:6) because He had yet to fulfill the Father’s will to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.  He had to suffer, shed His blood, and die so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but should have everlasting life.  He rose again from the dead the third day to prove that He is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25).
  6. Perfect Man – He is pure and sinless. His manhood is from above and not of this world (John 8:23).  The first man, Adam was of the earth made of dust; the second man the Lord Jesus is from heaven (1Cor. 15:45-49).
  7. All in All – He fills all things and is all in all (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 3:11). It pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell (Col. 1:19) and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhood bodily (Col. 2:9).

There are people who believe that Jesus is just a prophet and a good man but definitely not God.  Others believe that Jesus is among the million gods they worship.  There are so called witnesses of God who claim that Jesus is just a small god or an angel.  There is one who claims that he is the appointed son of God the Father at present in the Gentile setting because there was a Christ in the past in the Jewish setting.  Some missionaries from Utah, USA say that Jesus was a brother of Lucifer in former times.  There is a Jesus who has remained an infant who never grew in stature (Luke 2:52), also a Jesus who remains crucified and powerless to do anything contrary to what the Bible say (Matt. 28:5; Heb. 12:2) that He has risen from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Majesty oh high and reigning as King of kings and Lord of lords.  The above false claims are only a few among the many misidentifications about the true Christ.  These are the last days and Satan is working double time because he knows that his time is short.  Beware of his devices and his blind ministers who are deceived themselves because they continue to refuse to come to the knowledge of the truth, the Word of God.

Repent and turn away from your sins and commit your all to Jesus Christ and get saved before it is too late.  Now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.
